Our history
We have come a long way since 1980
1980
Flux Teknik was founded by Niels Overgaard Christensen, as a personal company - based on experience within High Frequency Magnetics.
1981
Moved to bigger facilities in Asnaes Denmark.
1982
Flux continued the growth and moved to new and bigger facilities in Asnaes Denmark.
1983
Flux Teknik became a registered Limited company - and the company name was changed to Flux Transformerteknik A/S.
1984
The group of Engineers was expanded by additional 2 Engineers.
1985
As a consequence of the ongoing expansion and in order to be prepared for further growth, land was purchased in a new Industrial estate area in Asnaes.
1986
New and bigger warehouse facilities were established.
1987
The modern & larger facility was rented - and most activities were moved to Industrivangen.
1988
The Outsourcing Process was initiated by outsourcing high volume products to a Spanish partner.
1989
ISO9001 quality project was initiated and implemented into the company.
1990
The rented facilities were taken over and building area expanded to 1800 sqm.
1991
First military certification - AQAP04 was achieved.
1992
Flux started mapping possibilities for out-sourcing to Asia.
1993
Flux International Ltd. was founded in Thailand and Denmark - as a joint venture with a big local Business Group, a dedicated Sales department was established in Denmark.
As a consequence of market demands, Flux SMT Assembly A/S was established.
1994
The existing Quality System AQAP4 was upgraded to AQAP110 and certified.
1995
Space production Co-operation agreement was signed with Alcatel Space Denmark and a separate space manufacturing facility was established.
1996
Flux' International activity in Thailand was transferred to local partner Transformerteknik A/S as a shareholder.
1997
In order to fulfil the ongoing expansion and increasing market demand, the Flux team is expanded by employing a Dedicated Production manager.
1998
Focus was concentrated to the Main business - magnetic parts and the SMT assembly activity was sold off to an external company.
2001
Flux upgrades Space activities with the target to be become a serious partner within the Global Space market.
2002
Flux established a dedicated Space Business and started a global marketing activity within this Business Area. Own set-up was established containing Generic Specification, Process Identification Document, Declared Process List, & Declared Material List.
2003
Flux continues commercial supply to the Space market after closure of Alcatel Space Denmark.
2004
Flux International Ltd. was established as a Daughter Company with Flux A/S as the major shareholder and IFU & Mr. MC. Lee as share holders.
2005
Emtech Power A/S - a Switch Mode Power Supply company was acquired.
Flux requalified Space setup according to MIL-PRF-27.
2006
Flux Thailand expanded factory space from 1250 sqm to 1750 sqm and the number of employees in Flux Thailand exceeds 200 people and establishes facilities for Power module production.
The Flux group implement common computer system.
Flux develop a family of SMT components for Space applications.
2007
Flux Thailand establish dedicated Hi-Rel manufacturing facility.
2008
Thai facilities Certified ISO9001 by TUV Rheinland - Certificate Registered # 01 100 086216.
Flux Thailand received BOI Investment Promotion Certificate from (Board of Investment-Thailand).
Flux expand its manufacturing area and capacity in Denmark and become Europe`s largest manufacturer of magnetic components for Space applications.
In cooperation with DTU - the Danish Technical University - Flux assigns Ph.D. students to strengthen product development.
2009
AS9100 / ISO 9001 certification activities were initiated for DK facilities.
Flux double space manufacturing area and establish an internal ESA academy.
ESA - European Space Agency awarded Flux contract to develop a family of planar transformers for Space applications.
Thai facilities Certified to ISO14001 by TUV Rheinland, Certificate Registered # 01 104 086216 and 12 employees were successfully certified as IPC Specialist.
Flux enter a major defence contract and double the Hi-Rel manufacturing.
2010
AS9100 and ISO 9001:2008 Certification received for DK facilities.
2015
DiscoverIE Group plc acquire full ownership of Flux.
2017
Flux supplies parts for renewable energy & EV's thereby supporting the conversion to green energy.
Flux delivers the first components for Electrical Propulsion Unit to Airbus Defence & Space
Successful launch of the first ten satellites from Iridium NEXT-Generation mobile voice and data relay network, for which Flux has supplied more than 10,000 components.
2018
Flux supplies parts for Motor Drive applications, helping our customers reduce power consumption and noise, as well as optimizing overall performance and production cost.
2020
More than 600 Flux standard parts and associated documentation now available on doEEEt.com
Flux receives ESA's Technology Flow Qualification and is registered on ESA's Qualified Manufacturer List, which allows Flux to supply ESCC Qualified Custom Magnetics.
Flux International Ltd. receives BSI's automotive certificate no. 715077, which allows Flux to deliver magnetics for the automotive industry, such as onboard chargers, motor drives, LED drivers, power supplies, and filtering components.
